Job description

Precision Fitness is seeking a motivated, reliable; professional; and NC State licensed massage and bodywork therapist to join our team of Athletic Trainers, Personal Trainers, Strength Coaches, and Massage and Bodywork Therapists.  
Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and client-focused Massage and Bodywork Therapist to provide exceptional therapeutic massage services to our diverse clientele. The ideal candidate will be proficient in a variety of massage modalities, possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be dedicated to creating a positive and healing experience for each client. As a member of the Precision Fitness team, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, collaborating with fitness professionals to enhance our clients' well-being.
Responsibilities:

  • Provide professional and customized massage and bodywork treatments to clients, including but not limited to Swedish, deep tissue, sports massage, trigger point therapy, and prenatal massage (if certified).
  • Conduct thorough client consultations to understand their needs, concerns, and medical history, and develop appropriate treatment plans.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, including treatment notes and progress.
  • Create a relaxing and professional atmosphere for clients during their sessions.
  • Adhere to all sanitation and hygiene protocols to ensure a safe and clean treatment environment.
  • Effectively communicate the benefits of massage and bodywork to clients and recommend appropriate follow-up care.
  • Collaborate with personal trainers and other fitness professionals within Precision Fitness to provide integrated wellness solutions for clients.
  • Stay informed about current trends and techniques in massage and bodywork through continuing education.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
  • Assist with light administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments and processing payments, as needed.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Qualifications:

  • Valid and current North Carolina Massage and Bodywork Therapy License.
  • Proficiency in a variety of massage modalities.
  • Excellent knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients.
  • Professionalism, punctuality, and reliability.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Certification in additional bodywork techniques (e.g., cupping, hot stone massage) is a plus.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
