The Position
Broncho Virtual School seeks a student-centered educator to deliver flexible, personalized science instruction in a virtual and hybrid setting. This role emphasizes engagement, individualized support, and preparing students for success in their next steps. Candidates should be tech-savvy and open to innovative practices that enhance student learning.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Valid Michigan Secondary Teaching Certificate.
  • Endorsements in Integrated Science (DI) and/or Science (DX) required.
  • Endorsements in Mathematics (EX) and/or STEM/STEAM preferred.

Responsibilities
  • Implement standards-aligned science curriculum.
  • Design and deliver engaging, student-centered instruction.
  • Customize courses (content, assignments, pacing) to support trimester scheduling.
  • Incorporate real-world application into learning experiences.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learner needs.
  • Develop and implement targeted interventions; monitor student progress.
  • Serve as a mentor/advocate for virtual learners across programs.
  • Provide academic support and encouragement in both virtual and in-person settings.

  • Analyze assessment and participation data to inform instruction.
  • Provide timely, meaningful feedback on student work.
  • Communicate regularly with students, families, and staff.

  • Partner with counselors to support students.
  • Participate in school and district teams, committees, and professional learning.
  • Maintain accurate student records, attendance, and communication logs.
  • Support and facilitate in-person lab sessions, including alternative education learners.
  • Proctor standardized assessments.
  • Foster a safe, respectful, and productive learning environment.
  • Demonstrate strong organization, attention to detail, and technology skills.
