Job description

Position Title: High School Math and Science Teacher (Grades 9–12, Including AP)

Location: North Hollywood, CA

Employment Type: Full-Time

Salary Range: $65,000–$100,000 (commensurate with experience and qualifications)

Position Overview: We are seeking a passionate and skilled High School Math and Science Teacher to instruct students in grades 9–12. The ideal candidate is dedicated to fostering critical thinking, strong problem-solving skills, and a deep appreciation for mathematics and science while maintaining high academic standards.

Our ideal candidate is someone who brings both academic rigor and genuine warmth into the classroom—someone who challenges students while building strong relationships and a love of learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Math and Science courses for grades 9–12, including Honors 
  • Develop and deliver engaging, standards-aligned lesson plans that support diverse learners.
  • Facilitate laboratory experiments, research projects, and hands-on scientific investigations while ensuring proper lab safety protocols.
  • Assess student progress through tests, projects, lab reports, and presentations; provide timely, constructive feedback.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and academically challenging classroom environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and instructional best practices.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and administrators regarding academic progress and expectations.
  • Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Science, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • Experience teaching high school Math and/or Science; AP teaching experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
