Overview:
Job Title: LOS Project Manager
Location: Irvine, CA (Onsite)
Employment Type: Contract
Experience Required: 8-10 Years
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Loan Origination System (LOS) Project Manager to lead end-to-end delivery of a large-scale LOS modernization initiative.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in financial services or consumer lending, with proven success leading LOS replacement or enterprise system transformation programs in auto finance, banking, or fintech environments.
Key Responsibilities
LOS Modernization Leadership
  • Lead full lifecycle delivery of LOS replacement from discovery through implementation and stabilization.
  • Drive parallel workstreams including credit, underwriting, integrations, data migration, UI/UX, compliance, and infrastructure.
  • Ensure alignment with business goals and regulatory requirements.
Project Planning & Governance
  • Develop and manage integrated project plans, timelines, budgets, and dependencies.
  • Prepare governance materials, funding documentation, and executive updates.
  • Support stage-gate approvals and enterprise review processes.
Vendor & Stakeholder Management
  • Manage third-party vendors, system integrators, and delivery partners.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between business, technology, compliance, and external stakeholders.
  • Facilitate requirement gathering workshops and translate business needs into actionable plans.
Risk & Compliance Management
  • Identify and mitigate risks specific to LOS implementations, including:
    • Regulatory compliance risks
    • Data migration and cutover risks
    • Legacy system dependencies
  • Ensure adherence to consumer lending regulations and enterprise controls.
Execution & Delivery Oversight
  • Monitor day-to-day delivery performance across teams.
  • Track milestones, dependencies, and issue resolution.
  • Ensure on-time, on-budget delivery with strong quality controls.
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of hands-on project management experience in financial services or consumer lending.
  • 3+ years leading LOS replacement or large-scale enterprise modernization initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of the consumer credit lifecycle.
  • Proven experience managing third-party vendors and system integrators.
  • Experience in auto finance, banking, or fintech environments.
  • Strong requirement gathering and stakeholder facilitation skills.
  • Excellent communication, risk management, and governance reporting capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Agile or hybrid project delivery methodologies.
  • Familiarity with lending compliance frameworks and regulatory requirements.
