What You'll Do
As an RN at RCA, you will:
* Conduct intake assessments through interviews with patients and relatives to gather case history.
* Provide individualized care by conducting comprehensive patient assessments and developing tailored care plans.
* Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established protocols.
* Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, therapists, and case managers, to coordinate holistic patient care.
* Educate patients and families on the nature of mental health disorders, the disease of addiction and the need for treatment.
* Monitor patient progress and maintain accurate, confidential documentation.
* Foster a safe and supportive environment that respects the dignity and diversity of all individuals.
What We're Looking For
* An active RN license in [state]
* A minimum of 2 years' experience in behavioral health, addiction recovery, or 5 years of supervisory experience; phlebotomy skills preferred.
* Current BLS certification or the ability to obtain it during orientation.
* CARN certification preferred.
* Strong clinical judgment and the capacity to safely administer medications and proficiency in effectively managing medical and behavioral health emergencies such as suicide ideation and aggression.
* Knowledge of health care, detoxification process, addiction, co-occurring disorders and DSM criteria and terminology.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a commitment to compassionate patient care.
