Intake Registered Nurse - Full Time
Springwoods Behavioral Health , an 80-bed behavioral health facility located in Fayetteville, Arkansas, provides acute inpatient treatment for adolescent, adult, and specialty program for women. The hospital also offers outpatient treatment. Our six-acre campus is adjacent to a 123-acre Audubon Wildlife and Bird Sanctuary, which is held in perpetuity and cannot be developed from its natural state. This provides Springwoods with a peaceful setting for those embarked on the road to recovery.

The Intake RN, under the supervision of the Intake Director, provides telephonic and in-person risk assessment to assist the physician in identification of appropriate level of care for potential patients. The Intake RN is the initial contact with referral sources and potential patients, coordinates the referral and intake process, facilitates the admission process and maintains communication with referral sources, families, patients, and unit staff. The Intake RN works with the Business Office regarding patient financial data and verification and prior authorization of insurance benefits as needed, as well as with the UR Department for the certification of patients admitted.

  • Qualifications
    QUALIFICATIONS
    Education: Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing required; Bachelor's
    Degree preferred.
    Experience: 2-3 years in substance abuse/psychiatric treatment programs, including experience in intake/admissions and managed care preferred.
    Licensure: Currently licensed to practice by the Arkansas State Board of Nursing.
    Additional Requirements: CPR certification, Handle with Care and Verbal De-Escalation training within 30 days of employment prior to assisting in a restraining procedure. May be asked to work flexible hours, weekends, and overtime.
