Registered Nurse (RN) – Director of Nursing

Position Summary

Live Star Home Care is looking for a registered Nurse who will serve as Director of Nursing for the agency. The Registered Nurse (RN) – Director of Nursing (DON) oversees all clinical operations of the agency's skilled home health department. Responsibilities include conducting intake assessments for new clients, developing plans of care, supervising clinical staff, ensuring regulatory compliance, coordinating with physicians, and managing quality patient care.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Direct and oversee all skilled nursing services.
  • Conduct intake assessments and determine eligibility.
  • Develop individualized Plans of Care.
  • Supervise RNs, LPNs, CNAs, therapists, and other clinical staff.
  • Coordinate admissions and physician orders.
  • Review clinical documentation for accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with Colorado, Medicare, Medicaid, HIPAA, OSHA, and agency regulations.
  • Lead quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Recruit, train, evaluate, and mentor clinical staff.
  • Participate in leadership meetings and support agency growth.

Qualifications

  • Active Colorado RN license.
  • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience; home health experience preferred.
