Salary range (but not limited to):

69,200 - 84,600

Annual bonus target, based on the base salary, with a potential payout of up to double the target (subject to personal and company performance):

7.5%

Salary for the candidate will be determined taking into consideration a number of factors including: experience, skills, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, internal equity, etc. The salary range presented above is based on a 35-hour workweek and would represent a majority of different candidate profiles. However, we encourage candidates who may fall outside of this range to apply as well.

The Opportunity

We're looking for an Accountant, Investment Reporting to join the team behind the reporting of our investments across the globe.

Reporting to the Manager, Investment Reporting, you'll collaborate closely with colleagues to deliver high-quality external and internal financial information on our investments - playing a key role in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end processes while helping strengthen our internal controls.

This role is ideal for someone with a keen interest in expanding their knowledge of investment reporting.

This is a hybrid role, based out of our Montreal office (2020 Robert-Bourassa).

What You'll Do Here:

  • Drive financial close processes - system feeds, key internal controls, and validation - with speed, precision, and quality.

  • Contribute to external financial reporting on investments, including financial statements for the Group and legal entities, management reports, and Canadian regulatory filings.

  • Support internal reporting on investment results across multiple entities and countries.

  • Partner with FP&A and Capital teams to integrate investment results into global reporting.

  • Work hand-in-hand with internal and external auditors, providing documentation and insights.

  • Champion of continuous improvement - identifying automation opportunities to boost efficiency and accuracy in accounting and controls.

What you bring to the table:

  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in areas such as investment reporting, financial reporting or financial close processes.

  • CPA designation, currently pursuing the CPA designation, or successful completion of the CFE.

  • A strong ability to learn quickly and adapt to new systems, processes and investment concepts.

  • An independent, organized and efficient working style, combined with a collaborative team mindset.

  • Genuine interest in and curiosity about investments and financial markets.

  • Strong analytical, critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.

  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) in English and French. Bilingualism is required due to frequent communication with Finance teams in the United States and the United Kingdom.
