The Sr Financial Analyst (SFA) supporting the Corporate channel P&L is responsible for analyzing financial performance, establishing budgetary goals, and developing recommendations on expense and cost saving opportunities. This role supports financial consolidation efforts of Bath & Body Works. The incumbent will collect, aggregate, and monitor costs while also identifying risk and opportunities related to the Corporate channel. The SFA will provide executive leaders with budget, cost projections, and performance analyses. The role provides support for the quarterly earnings preparation process. This position reports to the Manager of Finance for FP&A.

 Responsibilities

•    Facilitate the Corporate channel semi-annual budget process with and for departmental leaders (e.g., HR, Legal, Finance).
•    Be an established business partner with cross functional departments to ensure fluid communication on budgets, forecasts, and account coding.
•    Partner with cross-functional finance teams, communicate accurate financial projections and provide the necessary level of detail to explain variance analysis.
•    Perform ad-hoc financial analysis to facilitate strategic and tactical decision making.
•    Complete monthly P&L reporting raising any known forecast risk and opportunities.
•    Monitor and ensure the integrity and accuracy of all financial statements and systems are intact.
•    Provide inputs to the monthly fiscal closing process including the preparation of close variance analyses for the financial reporting close package.
•    Demonstrate absolute adherence to data integrity and internal controls.
•    Adhere to deadlines within the internal projections cadence (end of month process, systemic forecast loads, mid-month Risk/Opportunity updates).
•    Analyze trends and other business initiatives.
•    Find opportunities for continuous improvement in functional work, reporting and standard operating procedures.
 

 Qualifications

 •    4-5 years in a Financial Analysis and/or accounting environment
•    Budgeting, project evaluation and spend/cost analysis skills, required.
•    Experience in a retail environment preferred.
•    Proficiency in financial systems
•    Knowledge of SAP and/or project management experience, preferred.
•    Proficient in Microsoft Office suite including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
•    Must be a problem solver and be able to function in a high volume, fast-paced environment that serves many high-profile customers.
•    Proven ability to think analytically and creatively while maintaining financial controls.
•    Ability to communicate in an effective and clear manner with leaders to influence business decisions through fact-based analyses.
•    Excellent oral and written presentation skills
•    Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple, competing priorities.
•    Highly motivated and demonstrates independent initiative in performance against objectives.
•    Exhibit leadership competencies and professional maturity in dealing with peers and leaders.
•    Ability to distill, articulate and model complex business questions/matters.
•    Conducts all work in a confidential, ethical, and professional manner.
•    Ability and willingness to take on additional responsibilities as needed.
Education
•    Bachelor’s degree in Business Finance or Accounting
•    MBA with focus in Finance and/or Accounting, preferred.
•    Financial accreditations and/or CPA, preferred.
