Job Description Job Description Job Title: Finance & Insurance (F&I) Writer Reports To: Finance Director / General Sales Manager Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Finance & Insurance (F&I) Writer to join our dealership team. In this role, you will work closely with customers to secure vehicle financing, complete all necessary documentation, and present protection products and service contracts. The ideal candidate is organized, knowledgeable about compliance requirements, and committed to delivering excellent customer service while ensuring all deals are processed accurately and efficiently. Key Responsibilities Finance & Insurance Coordination Work with customers to obtain automobile financing through approved lenders in compliance with all state and federal regulations. Prepare and process all required state and federal documentation for vehicle purchases accurately and in a timely manner. Present and offer extended service contracts and dealership protection products to customers. Sell chemical protection packages and other available dealership products. Ensure all work is performed in accordance with applicable legal requirements and dealership policies. Deal Processing & Documentation Maintain accurate bushing logs and ensure financing approvals are obtained promptly. Ensure all deals are completed efficiently and correctly, including: Deal approval Verification of down payment Timely notification to customers if financing cannot be obtained Submission of contracts to the bank within 2 days Obtaining funding within 5 days Collecting all required stipulations (stips) Team & Workplace Conduct Work cooperatively and professionally with all dealership personnel. Maintain a professional demeanor and provide courteous, non-discriminatory service to all customers. Follow company policies regarding nondiscrimination and harassment. Report any violations of sexual harassment or nondiscrimination policies to management. Perform additional duties as assigned.
