Job description

ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION

Founded in 1982, Noguchi & Associates has grown into one of Hawaii’s largest and most respected independent insurance agencies. With more than four decades of service to Hawaii’s business community, the firm provides a comprehensive range of insurance and risk management solutions, including commercial and personal insurance, employee benefits, premium financing, surety bonds, claims support, and specialized insurance programs. Known for its strong reputation, deep market expertise, and enduring client relationships, Noguchi has built a legacy of helping Hawaii organizations navigate risk while supporting the communities it serves.

In 2022, Noguchi joined the Ori-gen family of companies, a growing platform of legacy-minded insurance brokerages committed to preserving local brands, honoring company histories, and investing in their people and communities. Through this partnership, Noguchi has retained its respected local identity while gaining access to additional resources, expanded capabilities, broader carrier relationships, and growth opportunities throughout Hawaii and beyond. The organization has experienced significant organic growth in recent years, expanding its reach, capabilities, and market presence while maintaining the entrepreneurial culture, client focus, and commitment to excellence that have defined the firm for decades.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

This is an exceptional opportunity for a proven leader to help shape the next chapter of one of Hawaii’s premier independent insurance brokerages. Reporting to the President of Ori-gen, the Executive Vice President will serve as the operational and strategic leader for Noguchi & Associates, partnering closely with ownership and senior leadership to drive growth, strengthen operations, and elevate the client experience. The EVP will inherit a financially healthy and rapidly growing organization with ambitious goals, a strong brand, and a talented team, while helping guide the business through its next stage of evolution.

The role offers a unique opportunity to balance strategy and execution. Key priorities include building trust and credibility across the organization, elevating operational effectiveness, optimizing retention and continuously enhancing service delivery, advancing technology and AI-enabled solutions, and creating greater scalability across the business. The EVP will oversee day-to-day brokerage operations, lead process improvements, strengthen carrier and client relationships, support budgeting and profitability initiatives, and help identify opportunities for market expansion, cross-selling, and future acquisitions. Success will require someone who can bring stability, disciplined execution, and fresh perspective while preserving the culture and values that have made Noguchi successful.

The ideal candidate is a distinguished insurance industry executive with a proven track record of driving operational excellence, strategic growth, and organizational performance. This leader will bring the vision, business acumen, and market insight to build upon Noguchi’s strong foundation while positioning the organization for continued success in an evolving industry landscape.

The successful candidate will possess significant leadership experience within brokerage operations or a related insurance enterprise, deep expertise in carrier relationships, and a strong understanding of the Hawaii insurance market. They will demonstrate sound financial judgment, a growth-oriented mindset, and a commitment to leveraging innovation, technology, and AI to enhance the client experience. Equally important, this executive will be an authentic and collaborative leader who inspires trust, fosters alignment, and cultivates high-performing teams. They will be highly visible and engaged, empowering employees, developing talent, driving accountability, and strengthening the relationship-centered culture that has long distinguished both Noguchi and Ori-gen.

Target Annual Salary: $225,000 – $250,000 + incentive compensation opportunities
