Job description

First Choice Health Centers is looking for a bilingual Behavioral Health Clinician to join our center and provide high quality care to patients in East Harford and Manchester, CT. LMSW and LCSW applicants welcome to apply!

You will be responsible for providing Psychotherapy to adults and children (based on preference and/or experience) in our community health center. You will also have the opportunity to participate in educational activities and contribute to the continuous improvement of our services.

We have opportunities available in our East Hartford location(s).

Starting Salaries:

Master’s Level Counselor: $57,000 - $67,000

Licensed Counselor: $68,000 - $80,000

Actual pay will be determined based on several factors. These may include education, work experience and in some instances, certifications. We strive for market alignment and internal equity with our colleagues’ pay.

Experience and Training:

  • Master’s degree from an accredited school of Social Work
  • Must have an independent license in the state of CT (LMSW or LCSW)
  • Bilingual – oral fluency in English & Spanish is preferred
  • A desire to work with the underserved population
  • Experience in providing clinical services

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and diagnose mental, emotional, developmental and behavioral health challenges in individuals, couples and families based on established clinical standards.
  • Conduct patient screening using standardized tools. Formulate treatment plans and reviews.
  • Provide mental and behavioral health treatment to patients in an integrated community healthcare clinic
  • Provide treatment, including individual, group and/or family therapy, and some substance abuse counseling when necessary.
  • Coordinate with other clinical and social service providers and care coordinators.
  • Document all aspects of clinical care in the electronic health record (we use eCW) within required timelines.
  • Ensure patient confidentiality at all times.
