JOB DESCRIPTION
TITLE: Program Secretary
REPORTS TO: Program Principal
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School Diploma
  • Knowledge of general office manners, routines and procedures
  • Knowledge regarding operations of office equipment, including computers

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Responsible for communication within the Program through such means as telephone, message recording and distribution, coordination with parents, districts, joint agreements and central office and mail distibution.
  • Word processes memos, letters, reports and other information as assigned by the principal.
  • Duplicates, collates, files and distribute materials.
  • Maintains records such as student enrollment, class lists, staff attendance, purchase orders and decreasing balances.
  • Maintains calendar and schedules for assigned personnel.
  • Maintains office supplies, equipment and forms.
  • Maintains the overall orderliness of the office and reception area.
  • Arranges and prepares for all scheduled meetings.
  • Attends scheduled secretarial meetings.
  • Understands the secretarial operations of the Program and maintains a cooperative effort with other secretarial staff and educational staff.
  • Exhibits professional conduct at all times, including phone conversations.
  • Coordinates transportation needs for program.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

Benefits: Eligible for helath insurance, board paid life insurance, sick and personal days. Salary range $28,000 to $35,000.
