Job description

$50,000–$85,000+ First-Year Earning Potential

Base Salary + Commission | Health Insurance Contribution | 100% Employer-Paid Dental Vision | Paid Time Off

Build a Sales Career with One of Coastal Alabama’s Largest Allstate Agencies

We are looking for a motivated Insurance Sales Specialist to join our team. This is a sales-driven position for someone who enjoys building relationships, identifying opportunities, and helping customers make smart decisions about protecting what matters most to them.

First-year earning potential is $45,000–$70,000+, with a competitive base salary plus commission. We also offer a strong benefits package that includes an employer contribution toward health insurance, 100% employer-paid dental and vision insurance, and paid time off.

Insurance experience is a plus, but it is not required. We can teach you insurance. What we’re looking for is someone with the drive to succeed, the confidence to communicate with customers, and the willingness to learn and follow a proven sales process.

Why Join Our Agency?

Competitive Compensation Benefits

We believe a great career opportunity is about more than just a paycheck. Our compensation and benefits package is designed to provide financial stability while rewarding strong sales performance.

Your base salary provides stability, while commission gives you the opportunity to increase your income based on your individual sales performance.

Nearly 60 Years of Local History

Our agency’s roots date back to 1967, when my father opened his Allstate office. Nearly 60 years later, the principles he built the business on—character, integrity, hard work, and taking care of customers—continue to guide us today.

You’ll be joining one of Coastal Alabama’s largest Allstate agencies, with an established customer base and a strong reputation in the communities we serve.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

This is primarily a sales position, not a traditional customer-service role. You’ll spend much of your day communicating with prospective and existing customers, identifying insurance needs, following up on opportunities, and helping grow the agency.

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Proactively contacting prospective and existing customers by phone

• Following up consistently with leads, quotes, and sales opportunities

• Asking questions to understand each customer’s needs

• Preparing insurance quotes and recommending appropriate coverage

• Explaining insurance options clearly and confidently

• Identifying coverage gaps and cross-selling additional products

• Asking satisfied customers for referrals

• Building and maintaining long-term customer relationships

• Generating new business through referrals, networking, and community involvement

• Working toward clearly defined individual and team sales goals

• Maintaining accurate records and managing follow-up through our agency systems

• Providing exceptional service throughout the sales process

Requirements

Who We’re Looking For

Our ideal candidate is:

• Self-Motivated — You take initiative and don’t need someone constantly telling you what to do next.

• Competitive — You enjoy setting goals, measuring results, and improving your performance.

• Comfortable on the Phone — You’re confident starting conversations and communicating with people you don’t already know.

• Persistent — You understand that sales requires consistent follow-up and that not every conversation results in an immediate sale.

• Personable — You enjoy talking with people and can build rapport quickly.

• Coachable — You’re willing to learn, accept feedback, and follow a proven process.

• Organized — You can effectively manage prospects, customers, quotes, follow-ups, and priorities.

• Dependable — You follow through on commitments and take responsibility for your results.

• Comfortable with Technology — You’re willing and able to learn the systems and technology we use to serve customers and manage sales opportunities.

• Ethical — You understand that long-term success in insurance comes from doing what’s right for the customer.

Note: Candidates with experience in sales, retail, banking, automotive sales, wireless/cellular sales, hospitality, real estate, customer-facing roles, or other goal-oriented environments are encouraged to apply.

Licensing

An Alabama Property Casualty or Personal Lines insurance license is required to perform the full responsibilities of this position.

You do not need to be licensed to apply.

Candidates who are not currently licensed may still be considered, provided they are willing and able to obtain the required license. The cost of obtaining a new license is reimbursable.

We provide ongoing training, coaching, and professional development to help you strengthen your insurance knowledge, improve your sales skills, and increase your earning potential.

What Success Looks Like

You’ll be expected to consistently communicate with customers and prospects, follow up on leads and quotes, ask for the business, uncover additional insurance needs, and work toward clearly defined sales goals. Successful team members actively create opportunities.

We’re looking for someone who takes ownership of their results and understands that effort, consistency, follow-up, and a willingness to learn are directly connected to success. Apply today and tell us why you think you’d be a great addition to our team.________________________________________
