CLIENT ADVISOR, COMMERCIAL INSURANCE

Your knowledge and experience in commercial insurance combined with your attention to detail and customer service focus are the keys to success in the role of Client Advisor, Commercial Insurance.

LOCATION AND STATUS

Status: Full-Time, Permanent

Location: Ottawa, ON

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Compiling renewal information, negotiating renewal terms, and preparing all other aspects of renewals
  • Comparing quote options for multiple carriers and presents coverage comparison as needed
  • Ensuring renewals are completed 60 days in advance
  • Reviewing policies to identify coverage gaps, makes recommendations based on clients' operations, exposures and need
  • Producing pink cards and certificates of insurance, schedules, and claims reporting
  • Maintaining appropriate and clear documentation in agency management systems including policy details, activities and attachments, spreadsheets
  • Assisting in negotiating renewal terms & developing growth
  • Clearly understanding how their actions can positively or negatively affect relationship with our customers, carriers, and coworkers
  • Participating in ongoing scheduled meetings with team to discuss accounts, renewals and day to day service needs and opportunities
  • Participating in seminars, classes, and webinars for skill and knowledge developments
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years of related and progressive experience in the insurance industry with a strong working knowledge of commercial insurance products
  • RIBO license required
  • CIP or CAIB designation, or working towards is considered an asset
  • Experience in an insurance brokerage
  • Experience with insurance document management software is an asset

COMPENSATION

Salary Range: $60,000 - $75,000 CAD annually

Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as a candidate's relevant experience, knowledge, skills, location, and internal equity.
