About the Job

Position Summary

Insurefit RM, an award-winning independent insurance agency in Knoxville, TN, is seeking an organized, motivated Risk Advisor to join our growing team. This role supports both new business development and ongoing client relationships, with an emphasis on commercial insurance. The Risk Advisor is responsible for sales, managing client communications, processing policy changes and completing account reviews. You’ll be cross-trained in both commercial and personal lines insurance. Our ultimate objective is to create an unparalleled client experience.

You will play a key role in helping clients understand their coverage, providing guidance during claims, and delivering a high level of service that builds long-term relationships. This position offers meaningful responsibility, structured training, and significant opportunity for professional growth within a high-performing agency. Insurance licensing is not required at hire—Insurefit RM provides and pays for all necessary training and licensing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Generate new business and grow existing accounts through cross-selling and relationship development
  • Deliver a proactive, high-quality client experience through timely follow-up and clear communication
  • Consult with clients on coverage needs, identify potential exposures, and recommend appropriate insurance solutions
  • Prepare and process quotes, renewals, endorsements, certificates, binders, and policy changes for commercial and personal lines
  • Support claims as needed and help clients navigate the process
  • Maintain accurate, organized records and documentation in the agency management system
  • Stay current on insurance products, carriers, rates, and industry standards through ongoing collaboration with agents and partners

Requirements

  • Two or more years of sales and/or customer service experience preferred
  • Ability to perform at a high level with outbound phone calls
  • Willingness to engage in networking, community involvement, and relationship building
  • Strong personal integrity with a commitment to acting in the client’s best interest
