Job description

Summary

A well-established mechanical contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to manage commercial mechanical projects focused on HVAC and/or plumbing systems. This role is responsible for running projects from preconstruction through closeout and working closely with field teams, engineers, and ownership to keep work on schedule and on budget.

This is a strong opportunity for a PM coming from a mechanical contractor, HVAC company, plumbing contractor, or design-build environment.


Responsibilities
  • Manage mechanical construction projects from start to finish

  • Oversee schedules, budgets, forecasting, and cost control

  • Coordinate field labor, subcontractors, vendors, and material deliveries

  • Handle RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation

  • Review scopes, drawings, and contract requirements

  • Lead coordination meetings with internal teams and trade partners

  • Support jobsite safety, quality control, and project closeout


Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager in mechanical construction

  • Background in HVAC systems, plumbing systems, or both

  • Experience managing multiple commercial projects simultaneously

  • Strong understanding of change management, billing, and forecasting

  • Ability to read mechanical and MEP drawings

  • Comfortable working with field teams and ownership

  • Experience with construction management platforms preferred
