Job Description:

As a Project Manager, the Incumbent will be responsible for project activities to ensure their successful delivery and will need to effectively lead a multidisciplinary team of experts to safely deliver vital train control solutions, while working within the confines of established processes and norms.

As part of the role, the Incumbent will also develop project plans / schedules and drive the teams to deliver on their commitments on time and within budget. They will often need to engage others within the organization to secure appropriate resources for the work and regularly prepare and present status reports for both internal management and the customer.

Key Accountabilities:

  • To implement and manage projects in accordance with contractual requirements and company processes. Furthermore, to be charged with overall performance/schedule compliance, cash flow and budget of the project while ensuring quality and safety standards are maintained.

  • To strategically manage client's expectations and wants with respective to what is achievable within the company's overall business.

  • To evaluate the need for out of scope work in-light of strategic project gains. Enforcing policies and procedures to ensure no unauthorized work is being conducted.

  • To be able to evaluate and report on project "Estimates to Complete" in accordance with company practices thus providing clarity on cost exposures and future labour needs.

  • To possess an ability to review and input into the project Risk List to allow visibility on business exposure. Once risks are established, to be responsible for decisions on expenditures of mitigation monies to support the most advantageous option for the company and project's benefit and success.

  • To possess the ability to show vision and direction from a leadership perspective, thus fostering a single path for the whole project team. Furthermore to show strength with compassion creating an environment where the project team is motivated and focused on the objective.

  • To display strong communications skills ensuring clarity with senior management, the client and the project team.

Key Requirements:

  • 10 years of experience in related industry or from technical/aerospace field

  • 10 years of experience as a project manager

  • University degree in Engineering (Electronic, Telecommunications, or Informatics) or equivalent experience gained through professional practice.

  • Strong technical expertise in Communication-Based Train Control (CBTC) railway signaling systems.

  • Demonstrated experience handling high-complexity projects in challenging contexts, including multicultural and international settings, with a focus on multi-disciplinary technical aspects.

  • Proven ability to organize and coordinate multiple, international remote teams effectively.

  • Self-disciplined, proactive, and entrepreneurial, with a strong commitment to achieving targets and a rigorous work ethic.

  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.

  • Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.

  • Solid understanding of budgeting, financial management, and risk assessment.

  • Fluent in English, capable of working effectively in international and multicultural environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent is highly desirable.

Salary : $115,976 - $148,923
