Position Overview

Reliance One, Inc. is hiring a Project Manager for one of our clients in Birmingham, AL. The Project Manager will organize, manage, and plan complex construction projects within the Physical Security Division. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and the ability to oversee multiple projects while ensuring compliance, timeliness, and customer satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities of the Project Manager

  • Lead a team of field personnel and subcontractors to ensure projects are completed on time and to specifications.
  • Delegate tasks and assignments based on team expertise and project requirements.
  • Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and stakeholders to plan detailed project requirements.
  • Oversee contract negotiations, revisions, and adherence by all parties.
  • Develop and implement budgets, conduct cost analyses, and prepare estimates and proposals when necessary.
  • Manage risks, delays, emergencies, and ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
  • Act as a liaison between the company, customers, and vendors while maintaining a customer-first approach.
  • Lead continuous communication and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders.
  • Present updates on project progress, risks, and performance.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.


Qualifications for the Project Manager

  • Bachelor’s degree in Building Science, Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience managing construction projects.
  • PMP, CCM, DBIA, CQM, ACI or comparable project management certifications preferred.
  • Strong leadership, supervisory, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage 5–8 projects simultaneously.
  • Thorough knowledge of construction practices and perimeter security products or ability to learn quickly.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, scheduling, or related project management software.
