Job description

As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced Clinical Program Manager to provide strong leadership, support the development of high-performing teams, and ensure the delivery of high-quality care. This role is responsible for guiding program operations, fostering a culture of accountability and clinical excellence, and driving positive outcomes for both staff and the individuals we serve.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide day-to-day leadership over the clinical and administrative operations of assigned programs.
  • Supervise, support, and develop clinical staff through onboarding, training, clinical supervision, coaching, and ongoing performance management.
  • Deliver direct clinical services, including assessments, treatment planning, crisis intervention, care coordination, and therapy, as needed.
  • Conduct and review assessments, Individualized Service Plans (ISPs), treatment plan updates, and discharge documentation in compliance with regulatory and organizational requirements.
  • Ensure clinical documentation meets Medicaid, DBHDS, licensing, payer, and agency standards for quality, accuracy, and timeliness.
  • Review and audit clinical records, progress notes, and related documentation to support compliance and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Submit and monitor service authorization requests and participate in peer-to-peer reviews with managed care organizations, as required.
  • Develop and maintain staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage and effective service delivery.
  • Collect and report program-level metrics related to productivity, service delivery, compliance, and client outcomes.
  • Lead and actively participate in team meetings, trainings, case reviews, and agency leadership initiatives.
  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with individuals served, families, referral sources, community partners, and internal stakeholders.
  • Promote person-centered, trauma-informed, and recovery-oriented approaches in all aspects of program oversight and service delivery.
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA and all organizational policies related to confidentiality and security of Protected Health Information (PHI).
    Support agency growth, quality improvement efforts, and strategic initiatives as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related field required.
  • Licensed in Virginia as LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or Clinical Psychologist.
  • Minimum of three years of clinical experience including assessments, treatment planning, therapy services, and crisis/behavioral interventions.
  • Minimum of two years of supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of VADBHDS and DMAS regulations and evidence-based practices.
  • Proficiency in psychosocial assessment, treatment planning, and clinical documentation.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, including in crisis situations.
