What You will Do:
Program Leadership: Own and drive end-to-end program execution for AIG sustenance and research workstreams, including issue triage, root cause analysis coordination, fix validation, and release management.

Cross-Functional Coordination: Partner with hardware engineering, firmware, systems validation, quality, and operations teams to prioritize and resolve field issues, customer escalations, and reliability improvements.

Research Program Management: Coordinate research initiatives spanning new sensor technologies, AI/ML integration, and next-generation hardware explorations from concept through feasibility and handoff to product teams.

Sustenance & Quality: Establish and maintain sustenance processes including defect tracking, field return analysis, firmware update planning, and regression prevention for in-market AIG products.

Stakeholder Communication: Provide clear, data-driven program status updates to leadership, including risk identification, mitigation plans, and trade-off recommendations.

Process Improvement: Develop and refine program management frameworks, tools, and best practices to improve team velocity, predictability, and cross-site collaboration (NY ↔ other Meta offices).

Vendor & Partner Management: Coordinate with external partners, component suppliers, and contract manufacturers as needed for sustenance and research activities.

Data-Driven Decision Making: Define and track key program metrics (defect density, fix turnaround time, research milestone velocity) to drive continuous improvement.

What You Will Bring:

  • BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 7+ years of experience in technical program management within consumer electronics, wearables, or hardware product development.
  • Proven track record of managing complex, cross-functional hardware/firmware programs from concept through production and post-launch sustenance.
  • Strong understanding of hardware development lifecycle (EVT/DVT/PVT), system validation, and quality processes.
  • Experience with defect tracking, triage processes, and root cause analysis methodologies (8D, Fishbone, 5-Why).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence without authority across geographically distributed teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with smart glasses, AR/VR wearables, or IoT consumer electronics.
  • Familiarity with RF/wireless systems (WiFi, BT/BLE), camera systems, audio pipelines, or sensor subsystems.
  • Experience managing programs involving AI/ML feature development on edge devices.
  • Background in systems coexistence, EMI/EMC, or hardware validation.
  • Experience with Meta's internal tools and processes (GSD, Workplace, Tasks) is a plus.
  • PMP, PgMP, or equivalent program management certification.

Pay Range: 120000 - 130000.

Compensation decisions are made based on factors including experience, skills, education, and other job-related factors, in accordance with our internal pay structure. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and retirement plan.

Work Requirements:

This role is considered an on-site position located in New York
•    You must be able to commute to and from the location with your own transportation arrangements to meet the required working hours.
