We are seeking an experienced ResidentialACProduct Development Manager to lead product development strategy and execution for our residential category, including room air conditioners,dehumidifier, andportable ACproducts. This role will work cross-functionally to develop customer-centric products, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive competitive differentiation in the market.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Product Strategy & Ownership

    • Serve as the product owner for TCL's residential AC category, including room AC, portable AC, dehumidifiers, and related solutions
    • Develop and maintain 3โ€“5 year product roadmaps aligned with business objectives, market trends, and competitive positioning
    • Define product requirements, feature prioritization, and value propositions based on customer and market insights

    Market Intelligence & Customer Insights

    • Gather and synthesize insights from end users, contractors, distributors, and retail partners to inform product direction
    • Represent TCL at key industry events (e.g., ACCA, HARDI) to stay current on market trends, regulatory changes, and competitive dynamics
    • Conduct competitive benchmarking to identify product gaps, differentiation opportunities, and innovation areas

    Product Development & Execution

    • Partner cross-functionally with R&D, engineering, and global teams to bring new products to market
    • Translate field feedback into actionable product improvements and design enhancements
    • Ensure product development timelines, quality standards, and performance expectations are met

    Regulatory Compliance & Market Readiness

    • Ensure all products meet applicable North American regulatory and compliance standards throughout the development lifecycle
    • Support go-to-market readiness, including product positioning, documentation, and launch alignment

    Commercial Support & Enablement

    • Support pricing strategy through margin analysis and competitive positioning insights
    • Provide product training and technical support to internal teams, sales partners, and external stakeholders
    • Clearly communicate product features, benefits, and differentiation to drive adoption and sales success

Qualification/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical field
  • 5+ years of experience in product development, product management, or technical product roles within HVAC, residential AC, or related industries
  • Strong knowledge of residential AC, HVAC systems, refrigeration technologies, and core components
  • Direct experience working for an HVAC, appliance, or AC manufacturer is required
  • Hands-on experience as an HVAC contractor or installer is a strong plus
  • Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into customer-facing value and business impact
  • Bilingual in English and Mandarin is preferred
