Job description

Processing Associate Temp

We're hiring for a Processing Associate Temp position. This role is full time and hourly, with on-site availability Monday–Friday at our Tampa AOB address: 9125 Henderson Road Tampa, FL 33634.

Position Schedule / Shift: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM EST – 6:00 PM EST

Position Summary

Processes membership and insurance account transactions, reimbursement requests, and related documentation while ensuring accuracy and completeness of all records. Responds to inquiries from members, sales representatives, and other stakeholders regarding billing, premiums, payments, cancellations, and account updates. Manages member compliments, concerns, and complaints by tracking, coordinating, and monitoring timely resolution through internal systems. Supports departmental operations through fulfillment requests, employee training, special projects, process improvements, and backup coverage as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process membership and insurance transactions, account updates, and database maintenance while ensuring compliance with company procedures.
  • Respond to member and auto club inquiries regarding billing, dues, payments, cancellations, and account issues.
  • Manage payment processing, account reconciliations, refunds, adjustments, and discrepancy resolution to maintain accurate records.
  • Maintain account data, prepare reports, and support problem resolution, special projects, process improvements, and employee training as needed.
Qualifications

Required

Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience

  • Processing transactions and posting to appropriate accounts.
  • Investigating and resolving sometimes complex processing problems.
  • Performing mathematical calculations to include addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.
  • Performing data entry duties and accurately maintaining a 6,000 keystroke-per-hour data entry rate (data entry test will be required at time of interview).

Knowledge and Skills

  • Utilize computer systems to perform data entry, maintain and audit records, and support business processing operations.
  • Process transactions accurately while meeting established productivity, quality, and timeliness standards.
  • Gather, verify, code, and maintain data; prepare reports and perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Draft routine correspondence and communicate effectively with coworkers, customers, and the public, including by telephone.
  • Train and support staff on departmental procedures and operational requirements.
  • Adapt to business needs by rotating across functions, operating standard office equipment, and completing required training.
  • Safely lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Perform monetary transactions, account adjustments, and related data entry with accuracy.
  • Apply basic insurance knowledge and exercise sound judgment when making decisions within established policies.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and stakeholders through frequent telephone interactions.
  • Read maps and maintain flexibility to work extended, irregular, weekend, or holiday schedules as needed.

Work Environment

Reports Monday–Friday to our Tampa AOB address: 9125 Henderson Road Tampa, FL 33634. May require sitting for extended periods. May require stooping and bending in order to perform filing functions.

Hourly rate: $14.42–$16.02 per hour, depending on location.
