About the Role

The Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our cold storage facilities, ensuring efficient and effective processes, maintaining high standards of safety and quality, and leading a team to achieve operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics and operations management, with a focus on cold storage and supply chain solutions.

What You’ll Do

  1. Operational Leadership:
    • Oversee the daily operations of the cold storage facility, ensuring all activities are conducted efficiently and effectively.
    • Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to enhance productivity and service quality.
    • Monitor and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational performance and identify areas for improvement.
  2. Team Management:
    • Lead, train, and mentor a team of warehouse and logistics personnel, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
    • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
    • Ensure adequate staffing levels to meet operational demands.
  3. Inventory Management:
    • Oversee inventory control processes, ensuring accurate and timely tracking of all goods entering and leaving the facility.
    • Implement best practices for inventory management, including FIFO (First-In, First-Out) and LIFO (Last-In, First-Out) methodologies as appropriate.
    • Conduct regular audits and cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
  4. Safety and Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as company policies.
    • Develop and enforce safety protocols to minimize workplace accidents and injuries.
    • Maintain cold chain integrity and ensure proper storage conditions for all products.
  5. Customer Service:
    • Maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing any issues or concerns promptly and effectively.
    • Ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of customer orders, meeting or exceeding service level agreements (SLAs).
    • Continuously seek opportunities to improve customer satisfaction.
  6. Continuous Improvement:
    • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
    • Stay informed about industry trends and advancements in cold storage and logistics technologies.
    • Lead initiatives to upgrade systems, equipment, and processes as needed.

What You Bring to the Pak

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management, preferably in cold storage or logistics.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
  • Certifications: [required/preferred certifications – e.g., “HACCP, BRC required. OSHA certification a plus.”]
  • Skills:
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations in a warehouse setting.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.

Salary Range: $70,000 – $80,000 annually
