The Operations Manager is responsible for driving exceptional client satisfaction by consistently exceeding expectations and ensuring the timely, efficient, and profitable delivery of services in accordance with the company’s contractual commitments. This role focuses on achieving high performance through continuous process improvement, employee training, and professional development.

Operations Manager Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee the day-to-day mitigation operations for water, fire, mold, biohazard, and other emergency restoration projects.
  • Manage, mentor, and support mitigation supervisors, project managers, and field technicians to ensure high performance and accountability.
  • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with IICRC standards, company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and all applicable safety regulations.
  • Schedule crews, equipment, and resources effectively to meet response time expectations, production goals, and client deadlines.
  • Monitor job progress from start to finish, ensuring quality workmanship, operational efficiency, and exceptional customer satisfaction.
  • Review scopes of work, estimates, documentation, and job files for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company and insurance requirements.
  • Coordinate with insurance adjusters, property managers, subcontractors, and clients to facilitate smooth project execution and communication.
  • Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive operational improvements and achieve company goals.
  • Oversee equipment inventory, maintenance schedules, fleet readiness, and warehouse organization to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Recruit, train, coach, and develop team members while supporting hiring, onboarding, performance management, and employee retention initiatives.
  • Enforce safety protocols, PPE requirements, and regulatory compliance across all jobsites and company operations.
  • Resolve escalated customer concerns and operational challenges promptly while maintaining a high level of professionalism and client satisfaction.
  • Participate in and support after-hours on-call rotations, emergency response planning, and disaster response coordination.
  • Collaborate with leadership to improve workflows, implement best practices, and identify opportunities for increased efficiency and profitability.
  • Monitor job costs, labor utilization, and production metrics to help ensure projects remain on budget and meet financial objectives.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, continuous improvement, and exceptional customer service throughout the organization.

 

Operations Manager Requirements:

  • 5+ years of management experience within the restoration industry
  • Proven ability to build, motivate and maintain a high performing team
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft® Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access) and internet and software Systems
  • Organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize a variety of tasks/projects
  • Self-motivated, responsible, and accountable. Identifies own learning needs and seeks appropriate steps to continue continual self-development
  • Bilingual is a plus
  • Experience with Xactimate is a plus
