We’re looking for a passionate and driven Hotel Operations Intern to join our team and gain hands-on experience in the day-to-day workings of a successful hospitality environment.


What You’ll Do:
As a Hotel Operations Intern, you’ll rotate through key departments and support the team in ensuring smooth and efficient hotel operations. Your responsibilities may include:

  • Assisting with front desk operations, guest check-ins/outs, and concierge services
  • Supporting housekeeping and room inspections to maintain quality standards
  • Observing and participating in food & beverage service and event setups
  • Collaborating with the operations team to resolve guest issues and enhance satisfaction
  • Learning property management systems and operational procedures
  • Participating in team meetings and contributing ideas for service improvement

What We’re Looking For:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Hospitality, Business, or a related field
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive attitude
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Passion for hospitality and a desire to learn

Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The number of hours you will be scheduled to work during the week is variable and is based on guest occupancy, season, staffing and other factors. Island Hospitality is unable to guarantee a specific number of work hours per week.
