Job description

Culmen International is seeking a Sr. Operations Analyst for USSOCOM support at MacDill, AFB in Tampa, FL.
 
The Sr. Operations Analyst will support USSOCOM Directorates by applying scientific methods and structured problem-solving to evaluate, model, and optimize special operations. This role demands data-driven insights, risk-assessment capabilities, and strategic coordination to advise senior military leadership.
 
The position will have a pivotal role in the current mission strategies and priorities to support the SOCOM operation.

USSOCOM requires comprehensive program support encompassing:

  • Strategic planning and resource planning
  • Gathering, analyzing, and validating information
  • Coordination and liaison activities with communications
  • Budget execution support, including funding document processing and invoice review
  • Technical and application assessment support

This position requires on-site work.


  • The Sr. Operations Analyst shall assist the government in developing and analyzing organizational plans and metrics to identify, manage, and direct resources to support the SOCOM Information Environment (SIE) mission strategies and priorities
  • The Sr. Operations Analyst will advise, develop and integrate best practices into the current IT environment to allow opportunities for improvement.
  • The candidate will analyze best practices in IT industry to identify opportunities for improvement based on existing process to ensure the SIE remains competitive
  • Will assist the government in gathering, analyzing, and validating information exchange requirements to develop and coordinate comprehensive communications plans.
  • Conduct coordination and liaison activities with communications planners and mission partners.
  • Force Structure Analysis: Develop and refine analytical models to evaluate the capability and capacity of Special Operations Forces (SOF) against Department of Defense mission requirements
  • Operational Modeling: Translate complex operational problems into structured analytic models to measure risks, costs, and effectiveness of Special Operations concepts
  • Data Synthesis: Integrate data from intelligence reporting, operational assessments, and global planning inputs to assess second- and third-order effects in various operational environments
  • Executive Communication: Translate quantitative and qualitative data into visually digestible, executive-level briefings and reports for DoD stakeholders

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field OR relevant experience supporting related Government agency may be substituted in lieu of formal education
  • Experience supporting USSOCOM or similar DoD organizations
  • Demonstrated experience in a Sr. Operations Analyst capacity
  • Experince analyzing best practices in IT industry to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Familiarity with SOCOM compliance requirements
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to engage effectively with senior Government stakeholders
  • Active Top Secret Clearance
