About the Role
At Texan Insurance, our Account Managers are trusted advisors who build lasting relationships with clients while helping protect what matters most. In this role, you'll manage a portfolio of personal insurance accounts, provide exceptional customer service, identify coverage needs, and play a key role in retaining and growing our client relationships.
The successful candidate must be comfortable shifting between calls, policy requests, renewals, follow-ups, carrier communication, documentation, and time-sensitive client needs while consistently meeting established agency KPI and performance standards.
Reporting to the Service Manager, you'll work alongside a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment where professionalism, teamwork, and client care are at the center of everything we do.
What Success Looks Like
As a successful Account Manager, you will:
  • Deliver outstanding customer service through responsive and proactive communication.
  • Manage a portfolio of personal lines accounts with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Conduct policy reviews and identify opportunities to improve client coverage.
  • Resolve client concerns while building long-term relationships.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and comply with agency and carrier guidelines.
  • Support agency retention and identify cross-selling opportunities when appropriate.
  • Meet department performance standards while maintaining a client-first approach.
  • Ability to shift between renewals, calls, follow-ups, documentation, carrier communication and time sensitive client needs

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for personal lines clients.
  • Process policy changes, endorsements, renewals, quotes, payments, and other servicing requests.
  • Review coverage, identify gaps, and recommend appropriate insurance solutions.
  • Coordinate with carriers and internal teams to resolve service issues.
  • Maintain accurate documentation within agency management systems.
  • Effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume service environment.
  • Stay current on carrier guidelines, underwriting requirements, and personal lines products including auto, home, flood, umbrella, renters, and related coverages.

Skills & Qualifications
We're looking for someone who has:

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • The ability to prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy.
  • Experience working in an agency management system such as HawkSoft, Applied Epic, EZLynx, or similar software.

Education & Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years in an independent insurance agency or 5 years in a captive insurance agency preferred.
  • Experience servicing personal lines insurance policies is required.
  • Active Property & Casualty License required (Texas preferred).

Certificates, Licenses, and/or Specialized Requirements
  • An active and valid Property and Casualty Insurance License is required. Texas License preferred.
  • A strong understanding of personal lines insurance products and industry practices.

Compensation & Benefits
Starting Salary: $55,000 annually (based on experience)
Competitive salary commensurate with experience, plus performance incentives and a comprehensive benefits package.
Paid Time Off
Generous PTO and 12 paid holidays so you can recharge and maintain a healthy work-life balance.
Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday. 8:30 - 5:30 CST, AND - Saturday 9-1 every other month
Physical Requirements
This role may require sitting for extended periods, working at a computer, and occasionally lifting or moving items up to 10 pounds.

This position may operate in an in-office, hybrid, or fully remote environment depending on the role, department, and business needs. Standard business hours at Artemis Insurance are typically Monday through Friday; however, schedules may vary by department, office location, or operational requirements. Specific work arrangements, schedules, and location expectations will be discussed during the interview process.
