About This Role 

As Corporate Insurance Manager, you'll lead Sabey's enterprise-wide insurance program, overseeing everything from policy placement and renewals to claims management, compliance, and strategic risk advisory. Supporting Sabey Corporation, Sabey Data Centers, Sabey Construction, and related entities, you'll work across Legal, Finance, Operations, Safety, Property Management, Human Resources, and executive leadership to ensure the organization is protected as it continues to grow. 

This role is ideal for an experienced insurance professional who enjoys solving complex problems, building strong partnerships with brokers and carriers, and influencing business decisions through thoughtful risk management. You'll have the opportunity to modernize processes, improve claims visibility, and help shape the future of Sabey's insurance strategy. 

Your Contribution Will Likely Include 

  • Lead the procurement, placement, renewal, and administration of Sabey's corporate insurance portfolio across a broad range of commercial and specialty coverages. 
  • Manage relationships with insurance brokers, carriers, adjusters, consultants, and other external partners to optimize coverage and cost. 
  • Oversee insurance budgeting, premium allocations, audit reconciliations, and financial planning activities. 
  • Provide strategic insurance guidance to the Chief Operating Officer, Chief Financial Officer, and other senior leaders regarding coverage, claims strategy, emerging risks, and business transactions. 
  • Serve as the internal lead for insurance claims, managing the full claims lifecycle in partnership with Legal and internal stakeholders. 
  • Coordinate claim investigations, financial recoveries, site visits, and documentation while supporting outside counsel as needed. 
  • Review contracts, leases, and agreements to ensure insurance requirements align with corporate standards. 
  • Manage certificates of insurance, evidence of coverage, lender requirements, and other compliance documentation. 
  • Support acquisitions, development projects, financing activities, and other strategic initiatives by providing insurance analysis and recommendations. 
  • Develop training and educational resources that strengthen insurance awareness and claims reporting across the organization. 

Experience You Will Bring 

  • Five or more years of progressive experience managing commercial insurance programs for a corporation, insurance broker, carrier, or similar organization, ideally supporting commercial real estate portfolios. 
  • Demonstrated success managing complex insurance programs, broker relationships, and insurance claims. 
  • Strong knowledge of commercial and specialty insurance lines, policy interpretation, contractual insurance requirements, and enterprise risk management. 
  • Ability to analyze legal, financial, and insurance documentation and translate complex concepts into practical business recommendations. 
  • Excellent relationship-building and communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across all levels of the organization. 
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. 
  • Professional insurance designation such as CPCU, ARM, CRIS, or similar preferred. 
  • Bachelor's degree preferred. 
  • Willingness to travel periodically for site visits and claims support. 
  • Aptitude and willingness to learn and utilize AI tools and technology.
