Polston Tax Resolution & Accounting is hiring a Legal Assistant in Norman, OK.


The hours for this in-office position are Monday-Friday from 8:00am-5:00pm. This is not a remote position.


What Do You Need?

Legal Assistants have a positive attitude and customer service mindset with a strong work ethic.

  • Must have at least 1 year experience working in an office environment
  • Equipment, such as computer, tablet and/or phone, to work remotely when the office is closed due to inclement weather, power outage etc.
  • Internet - a minimum of 50 Mbps internet service with a recommended speed of 100 Mbps for optimal performance.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills with great follow up.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the skill to prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • Capacity to work on assigned tasks independently or with little supervision.
  • The ability to accomplish/complete a task while demonstrating a thorough concern for all the areas involved, no matter how small.
  • Capacity to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality, integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Coachable mindset and student mentality
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software with the ability to quickly learn the organization’s software systems.

What Will You Do?

Legal Assistants assist attorneys and other legal personnel with administrative, organizational and research work in a team-oriented and collaborative environment.

  • Communicate with clients via phone and email to request documents and provide updates on client’s case.
  • Scan and organize financial documentation received from clients and coordinate returning documents to client(s).
  • Maintain and organize client files.
  • Assist with scheduling appointments.
  • Maintain, on a daily basis, the firm’s case software (e.g., updating case and client information).
  • Prepare Power of Attorney forms and other legal documents
  • Assist with research.
  • Maintain team calendar (adding deadlines, etc.) for all incoming government correspondence.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail.
  • General administrative duties as needed.
