Legal Assistant


Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Legal Assistant to support attorneys and legal professionals in preparing for court proceedings, managing case files, and providing administrative assistance. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication, research, and organizational skills while maintaining strict confidentiality in all legal matters.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and documentation for legal cases.
  • Conduct preliminary legal research and compile information for attorney review.
  • Draft and prepare legal documents, correspondence, contracts, affidavits, and other legal forms.
  • Organize, maintain, and update confidential case files and legal records.
  • Submit filings to courts.
  • Schedule appointments, meetings, court appearances, and deadlines.
  • Answer phone calls, respond to emails, and greet clients professionally.
  • Coordinate with court personnel, witnesses, and other parties regarding case matters and court dates.
  • Establish a system of ensuring all deadlines are met
  • Review police reports, witness statements, and supporting documentation.
  • Assist attorneys in trial preparation by organizing exhibits, evidence, and case materials.
  • Process client payments and maintain accurate billing records.
  • Perform general administrative and clerical duties to support daily office operations.
