Job description

Overview

Flagger Force, an industry leader in traffic control, is currently hiring for a Finance Internship. This position will be based out of our corporate office located in Hummelstown, PA.

The Finance Intern will assist with the weekly billing process. This may include processing data, creating invoices and auditing work, communicating with clients, understanding and using the automated billing process on a regular basis, and maintaining electronic files. In addition, the Finance Intern will assist with various other projects and shadow assignments.

Responsibilities
  • Organize & sort data for invoice creation. Run reports needed for weekly billing 
  • Enter all invoices into billing system in a timely manner and audits work to ensure accuracy 
  • Enter data into client based systems 
  • Know and use additional tools and programs to research & verify discrepancies and billing issues for clients 
  • Communicate to clients any changes made to invoices 
  • Research and resolve billing questions, complaints and grievances 
  • Communicate to payroll team any changes made that affect hours 
  • Perform bookkeeping work, including creating invoices 
  • Has a complete understanding of the assigned billing process 
  • Have a thorough understanding of all billing policies and consistently apply them on a weekly basis for all billing items
  • Process the hours reconciliation report and resolve any discrepancies for the billing team

Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree (or in pursuit of) in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office software systems.
  • Excellent judgement and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to communicate (written, verbal and non-verbal) clearly and maintain a consistent professional and positive, upbeat manner.
  • Exceptional customer service, active listening, and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be proactive and service oriented with keen attention to detail; ability to anticipate needs required.
  • Steel toed boots or the ability to obtain prior to employment

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Previous internship or past financial related work experience.
