MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented WARGAME DATA ANALYST to join our team in QUANTICO, VA.
This is a fully on-site position supporting the Marine Corps Wargaming program. The Wargame Analyst is responsible for assessing and writing reports for designing, executing, and assessing the results of analytical wargames to produce statistically defensible insights. T
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Work with sponsors and game designers in the shaping of problem, purpose, and objectives of each wargame; lead the development of a Data Collection and Analysis Plan (DCAP) that translates objectives into testable hypotheses and research questions.
  • Design the wargame's quantitative experimental methodology, including determining Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), data collection strategies, and the number of iterations required to make quantitatively defensible claims.
  • Conduct background research and literature reviews in support of wargame design and post-game assessment and develop requirements for and collaborate with the Modeling & Simulation (M&S) and Operations Research Systems Analysts (ORSA) team regarding the application of analytical methods, models, and tools in support of wargame data collection, instrumentation, and analysis.
  • Assist in scoping, developing, planning, executing, and assessing the wargame program.
  • Conduct pre-game, in-game, and post-game analysis, to include leading in-stride analysis hotwashes, performing statistical analysis (e.g., correlation, regression, sensitivity analysis), and fusing quantitative data with qualitative observations and develop data visualizations to substantiate the wargame's findings.
  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams consisting of military, government civilians, and contractors, including wargame Designers, Developers, ORSAs, and M&S developers and lead/coordinate a team of recorders and data collectors utilizing structured data collection methodologies and digital templates.
  • Create, review, and submit wargame deliverables with writing skills commensurate with professional military publications and author reports and prepare executive briefings that summarize findings, implications, and the statistical evidence for senior decision-makers.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years' experience in data analysis.
  • Strong writing and critical thinking skills and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with Marine Corps doctrine and warfighting concepts
  • Microsoft Office (MS), to include MS Word, Teams, and ability to build professional PowerPoint presentations (must be able to provide a writing sample).
  • Public speaking skills for briefing senior level leadership

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree
  • Military intermediate level school preferred
  • Prior military experience preferred (Marine Corps preferred)

Clearance Requirements:
  • Must have a current/active DoD Top Secret (TS) clearance with eligibility for SCI and SAP

Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able and willing to perform occasional manual labor and warehouse duties, with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
  • Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

The projected compensation range for this position is $114,600.00-$190,200.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
