You Are:

UST is searching for a resource to support our team as a Senior Data Analytics Developer & PBI Administrator.

The opportunity:

* Lead the design, development, and maintenance of complex Power BI reports and dashboards to support data-driven decision-making across the organization.

* Architect and implement data solutions, including the transition from Informatica/Data Warehouse/Cognos/Dataflows/PBI to Databricks/Data Lake/Unity Catalog/PBI.

* Develop and manage data pipelines, dataflows, and ETL processes to ensure efficient data integration and transformation.

* Utilize advanced DAX coding to create calculated columns, measures, and complex data models, with a focus on nested semantic modeling.

* Manage and optimize premium capacity and gateway configurations to ensure optimal performance and scalability.

* Define and implement monitoring systems for key KPIs to ensure consistent achievement of SLAs for data products.

* Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver actionable insights.

* Develop and maintain modular code bases backed by Git to enable multiple developers to make simultaneous enhancements.

* Implement DevOps practices streamline development and operational processes, ensuring high-quality and reliable data solutions.

* Build and maintain Power Automate flows to enhance data processing timeliness

* Oversee the work of other developers, assigning tasks from the Jira queue and advising on solution design.

* Maintain and enhance the data lake and data warehouse environments to support robust data storage and retrieval capabilities.

* Guide the team through architectural changes and ensure alignment with the target architecture.

* Lead team meetings, prioritize tasks, and ensure projects are completed on schedule.

* Oversee the work of other developers, assigning tasks from the Jira queue and advising on solution design.

* Coach and mentor junior developers, fostering skill development and professional growth.

* Provide oversight of solution design, including code review, to ensure alignment with architectural goals and best practices.

This position description identifies the responsibilities and tasks typically associated with the performance of the position. Other relevant essential functions may be required.

What you need:

* Extensive experience with Microsoft Power BI and related technologies.

* Proven expertise in solution architecture and advanced data modeling techniques.

* Strong understanding of data lake and data warehouse architectures.

* Experience with Gen1/2 Dataflows, data pipeline management, Power Automate, and Databricks.

* Direct experience with Databricks and Power Automate is highly desirable, but equivalent work experience and the ability to learn new skills can suffice.

* Proficiency in managing premium capacity and gateway configurations.

* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

* Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

* Experience with DevOps practices and modular code development.
