Job Summary
Farmers (Woodland Hills, CA) seeks a Data & Analytics Specialist to lead the technical aspects of development activities by coordinating work processes and ensuring that all code is thoroughly reviewed and accurate before it is moved to production. Specific duties include: lead technical development efforts in alignment with MDM strategy; serve as a key contact person in support of production problems/issues; troubleshoot system performance issues and propose improvements; contribute to solutions and ideas that increase pace, efficiency, and quality in the spirit of a Dev Ops model; design, develop and deliver high quality, scalable and efficient solutions and products on schedule; produce elegant and efficient designs, high performance, and scalable code that allows for easy extension to future needs; adhere to big picture view of how various connected system designs should be consolidated or affected; play the role of technical advisor and Subject Matter Expert for projects, providing advice on process and design; initiate and facilitate meetings and issue resolution; perform code walk-throughs and review/approve test cases; provide accurate and timely input to Release Manager and Integration Lead regarding status of technical tasks for self and team; and track record of identifying largest risk areas and driving resolution of these issues. Must be willing to occasionally travel within the U.S. Option to work remotely from anywhere in the U.S.
Position requires a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related field of study, plus 7 years of experience in the job offered, or as a Principal Consultant - CRM, Senior Consultant - CRM, Senior Associate - Projects, Associate - Projects, Programmer Analyst, or similar application development and solution architecture position. Must have 7 years of experience with each of the following: working in the P&C insurance industry, with a background in multiple LOBs such as Auto, Home, Umbrella, Life, and Business Insurance; working in application development and solution architecture; designing and developing applications on DB2 DB; working with master data management, data quality and data stewardship concepts; working with IBM MDM (Master Data Management) tool for analysis, design, development, integration and testing Master Data Management Services; working with IBM Infosphere, Advanced Edition (AE) and Reltio; implementing MDM Batch processes, API/Services Framework, Messaging queues, Suspect Duplicate Processing using Probabilistic and Deterministic Matching Engines; explaining complex concepts and issues in simple terms to various stakeholders; identifying root cause of technical problems; and identifying and escalating issues and risks to management for direction. Must also have 2 years of experience working with DevOps model including implementing, maintaining, and improving Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery processes, tools, and environments. Must be willing to occasionally travel within the U.S. Option to work remotely from anywhere in the U.S.
