LCAT: Senior
Location: Reston, Virginia
This position is contingent upon award.
Required clearance: TS/SCI with willingness to take CI poly. Candidates with current CI poly taken within the past seven years will be prioritized.
Required experience: At least 8 years
Required education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or relevant field and 5+ years relevant experience

Nalley Consulting has an opportunity for an experienced Data Scientist to support on-going research and development efforts for functional characterization of WMD facilities and their associated design.
The successful candidate will:
  • Provide data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence support.
  • Conduct data engineering tasks to integrate multiple APIs, and support process automation, data visualization, and application integration.
  • Develop tools to automate data analysis of large data sets.
Requirements:
  • 4+ years of experience using programming languages, including Python, R, or Java, to manipulate and analyze data
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or relevant field
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within or lead a team of peers, as well as excellent interpersonal and communications skills
  • Ability to communicate highly technical analyses at a level comprehensible to laymen and senior-level government representatives
  • Ability to clearly express in writing technical analysis results
  • Combining multiple date sources into GUI (graphic user interface) and visual and geographical displays.
  • Python and Tableau experience.
  • Experience with data exploration, data cleaning, data analysis, data visualization, or data mining
  • Experience with analyzing structured and unstructured data sources
  • Experience with statistical and general-purpose programming languages for data analysis
  • Experience with developing predictive data models, quantitative analyses, and visualization of target data sources
  • Experience with leading the development of solutions to complex problems
  • Experience with natural language processing, text mining, or machine learning techniques
  • Experience implementing automation in processing, presenting, or manipulating data

Other desired skills:
  • Demonstrated ability writing ICD 203 and ICD 206-compliant finished intelligence production
  • 15 years of experience in solving DoD data science problems
  • Experience in the development of algorithms leveraging Python and SQL
  • Experience with developing solutions incorporating Large Language Models
  • Experience with Python data science and visualization packages
  • Experience with Excel MBA
  • Experience with AC2SP, R, GitHub, and Palantir
  • An active CI polygraph
