Job description

CVS Health is seeking Pharmacy Technicians to assist pharmacists with filling prescriptions, assisting customers, and supporting daily pharmacy operations. Pharmacy Technicians are responsible for receiving prescription orders, entering prescription information into the pharmacy system, counting and measuring medications, labeling prescriptions, processing insurance claims, handling customer transactions, and assisting customers at the pharmacy counter and drive-thru. Technicians also answer phone calls, contact insurance companies for claim processing, restock medications, maintain patient records, and ensure the pharmacy area remains clean and organized. This position typically pays $16 to $22 per hour, with opportunities for overtime pay, holiday pay, and shift differential pay for evening or weekend shifts depending on location and experience. Pharmacy Technicians must follow CVS pharmacy procedures, HIPAA privacy regulations, and state pharmacy laws while working under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Employees are responsible for maintaining accuracy, protecting patient information, and providing customer service to pharmacy customers. Full-time employees may be eligible for benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) with company match, paid time off, employee discount programs, tuition assistance programs, and opportunities for advancement into Lead Pharmacy Technician, Pharmacy Operations Manager, or Pharmacist training programs.
