Responsibilities
- Support attorneys in all phases of insurance defense litigation
- Draft, format, and file pleadings in state and federal court
- Manage calendaring and litigation deadlines
- Assist with discovery, document review, and trial preparation
- Coordinate depositions, mediations, and court appearances
- Prepare trial binders, exhibits, and case files
- Communicate with clients, carriers, experts, and opposing counsel
Qualifications
- 2+ years of litigation paralegal experience
- Insurance defense experience strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of California court rules and procedures
- Experience with e-filing in state and federal court
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment

• At least 2 years of defense-side civil litigation paralegal experience; plaintiff-side experience alone will not meet the requirement.
• Paralegal certificate or formal attestation required in accordance with applicable standards.
• Demonstrated ability to handle discovery tasks in civil litigation matters with accuracy and attention to deadlines.
• Working knowledge of trial preparation processes, including exhibit and witness list coordination.
• Experience using case management software to organize files, monitor activity, and maintain documentation.
• Strong written communication skills for drafting legal documents and summarizing case materials.
• Must reside in California and be available to report to the office in Mission Viejo, California if requested.
