Job Description
Full or part time Insurance Billing & Coding Specialist needed at our office. Candidates with experience in eye care are preferred, but on the job training is available. This is a fast paced position that requires multitasking and a strong attention to detail. Excellent organizational skills, as well as customer service experience required.
Responsibilities
โ€ข Follow established protocols for filing medical insurance and vision benefits
โ€ข Process EOBs watching for correct payments/adjustments and appeal opportunities
โ€ข Monitor appealed accounts and discuss billing with patients as needed
โ€ข Complete monthly Accounts and Insurance Receivable reports
โ€ข Work with supervisor on accounts requiring administrative actions
โ€ข Assist with overflow of incoming calls to the office
โ€ข Back up front desk personnel as needed
Qualifications
โ€ข Ability to provide excellent customer service in order to enhance the patients experience with Baxter Eye Care
โ€ข Excellent communication skills with both patients and fellow staff members
โ€ข Ability to empathize with patients yet remain firm when collecting outstanding balances or explaining billing issues
