Position Summary-
Our client is a well-established healthcare organization seeking an experienced Medical Billing Specialist to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced medical office environment and has a strong understanding of insurance billing and claims resolution.

Essential Job Duties-
  • Research and gather information necessary to accurately process medical claims and billing
  • Submit appeals for denied insurance claims and track outcomes
  • Review overpayments and coordinate refund requests when appropriate
  • Follow up with insurance carriers to ensure timely processing and payment of claims
  • Investigate and resubmit claims that have been denied, are missing, or have not received a response
  • Work collaboratively with team members to resolve outstanding account balances
  • Maintain accurate billing records, reports, and documentation
  • Respond to billing-related phone inquiries and provide exceptional customer service
  • Protect confidential patient and financial information in accordance with privacy regulations
  • Assist with additional administrative and office support functions as needed
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities


Requirements-
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent medical billing experience required
  • 5+ years of medical billing experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance billing practices
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
