Schaus-Vorhies Contracting is a well-established pre-engineered metal building erection company with over 40 years in business. We are currently hiring experienced Steel Erectors / PEMB Installers to join our growing crew.
If you have at least 1 year of experience in metal building construction or structural steel erection, we want to talk to you!
This role includes all phases of pre-engineered metal building (PEMB) construction, including:
·         Structural steel frames
·         Girts and purlins
·         Wall and roof panels
·         Insulation systems
·         Trim and flashing
·         Gutters and downspouts
·         Specialty project components as required
This is a hands-on, physical work performed outdoors and at heights.
Schedule & Travel
·         Monday–Friday
·         8–10 hour days
·         Overtime frequently available
·         Occasional Saturdays based on project deadlines
·         Per diem for projects outside Fairfield, IA
·         Hotel provided for overnight work
·         Company pool vehicle available for travel to/from job sites
Requirements
·         Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
·         Ability to work at heights above 15 feet
·         Must be 18 years or older
·         Willingness to work overtime
·         Pre-employment drug screen required
All company-provided fall protection (PFAS and retractable lanyards) is supplied. Personal fall protection equipment must be inspected prior to use on job sites.
