Woodfin - Your Home Team is searching for a hardworking individual to join our team as an Insulation and Encapsulation Technician! The Insulation and Encapsulation Technician serves the Central Virginia region to install and service insulation, encapsulations, clean air ducts and other related tasks to ensure Woodfin's customers receive the purest breathable air possible.

What You'll Do:
  • Measure and cut insulation for covering surfaces.
  • Fit, wrap, staple, or glue insulating materials to structures or surfaces.
  • Distribute insulating materials evenly into small spaces within floors, ceilings, or walls.
  • Load and unload materials.
  • Clean job site and prepare surfaces prior to installation.
  • Clean air ducts throughout customer's homes.
  • Install various types of insulation and encapsulation products.

What You'll Bring:
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Prior experience with insulation, encapsulation, and/or duct cleaning is preferred, but not required.
  • Fluent English-speaking and writing skills are required.
  • Demonstrates a positive attitude and effort towards the day's required tasks.
  • Physically capable of working in Crawl Spaces or Attics for prolonged periods of time.
  • Able to clearly communicate with both coworkers and customers in order to explain both the need and the work being completed.
  • Driving Requirements
    • Must have a valid Virginia driver's license.
    • Must have positive points on state driving record.
    • Must be at least 21 years of age unless company approval is granted.
    • Must not have had a DUI, DWI, or reckless driving conviction in the last five years.
    • All driving records are run as part of our pre-employment process and reviewed at the discretion of the Safety Team.
  • Physical Requirements
    • Must be able to crawl, kneel, squat, and climb.
    • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis, unassisted.
    • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
