Job description

Propak Systems Ltd. is an established leader in engineering, fabrication, and construction of gas compression and processing facilities for the energy industry. We are currently seeking an Apprentice Insulators to join our Fabrication Shops in Airdrie, AB.

  • Read and interpret drawings and specifications to determine insulation requirements and select type of insulation required.
  • Measure and cut insulating material to required dimensions using hand and power tools.
  • Apply and secure insulation using spraying, blowing, pasting, strapping, taping and other application and installation methods.
  • Fit insulation around obstructions and protrusions.
  • Install vapor barriers.
  • Apply waterproofing finishes over insulating materials to weatherproof surfaces.
  • Listen and receptive to instructions and work to achieve set goals, action plans and timelines for project completion.
  • Apply knowledge and skills learned from coaches and mentors to ensure completion of the apprenticeship program.

Qualifications:

  • Be eligible for registration as a registered apprentice; or
  • Be a registered apprentice.
  • Motivated and willing to learn.
  • As a condition of employment, employees are required, upon hire, to sign a Drug-Free Workplace Agreement, a Conflict of Interest Agreement and Confidentiality and Invention Agreement.
