Job Overview
Industrial Instrumentation & Control Technician performs electronics work in the calibration, programming, installation, repair, and maintenance of electronic equipment and various instrumentation, control systems, and process equipment used in an industrial/building operations setting. Assists, completes, and/or leads crews responsible for performing a broad range of electronic tasks in accordance with the International Society of Automation (ISA) standards and electronics trade practices.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate would have prior experience in field and bench instrumentation and controls best practices and procedures that support the duties, responsibilities and skill sets required of an Industrial Instrumentation and Controls Technician. The position deals with water, wastewater, reclaimed water treatment and lift station equipment such as, but not limited to the following; PLC's ( Allen Bradley, Schneider ), HMI'S, Flow meters ( Magnetic, differential pressure, ultrasonic ), pressure and level transducers ( radar, ultrasonic, diaphragm ), actuators ( electric, pneumatic ), Ultra Violet disinfection and chemical water treatment systems. The candidate will be able to troubleshoot, field or bench, any of the above listed equipment as well as perform preventative maintenance and calibrations. The candidate will need to be able to utilize the following tools and technologies; process multi-meters, specialized calibration equipment, calculators, voltage and current meters, electronic related software. The candidate should understand the importance of compliance meters and documentation of these meters. Candidates will be willing to work overtime as needed, must understand that participation in a 24/7 afterhours standby rotation program is required after successful completion of probation. Candidates should possess basic computer skills with standard software such as Excel, Word, Outlook, etc. and knowledge of a computer operated work management system. The candidate would have knowledge of infrastructure analyzers for chlorine, PH, Turbidity, Fluoride, DO, ORP, Nitrites, TSS and Blanket monitoring equipment. They would also have the ability to work with scientific and analytic computer software, electronic probes, signal generators, Beamex pressure calibrators, Siemens Verificators and specialized calibration equipment in relation to the Water, Wastewater, and Reclaim industry.
