PT- BRIDGE GED InstructorGoodwill Industries of the Southern Rivers – Columbus, GA

GoodwillSR is currently seeking a GED Instructor responsible for effective classroom management that enhances student learning. This person will be responsible for teaching the GED test areas (reading and language arts, writing, social studies, science, and math).

Goodwill Industries of the Southern Rivers, Inc.’s BRIDGE GED Instructor responsibilities:

  • Implement various instructional delivery methods that include group or individualized instruction and computer programs
  • Plan lessons and curriculum based on the learning needs of culturally diverse and multi-skilled students
  • Create a climate that encourages and supports learning.
  • Plan and prepare relevant and practical class lessons and monitor students’ performance.
  • Administer post-TABE and practice tests to identify level gains, individual progress, and areas of improvement.
  • Responsible for teaching the GED test areas (reading and language arts, writing, social studies, science, and math)
  • Teach skills to improve academic performance, including study strategies, note-taking skills, and approaches to answering test questions     

Requirements:

  • Level of knowledge normally gained through completion of an undergraduate degree
  • Minimum 3 years of work-related experience
  • Ability to use a variety of audio-visual equipment
