Job description

We're looking for an experienced Electrical Installation Project Manager who thrives in a fast-paced environment, loves the challenge of juggling multiple projects, and takes pride in bringing complex electrical installations to life - on time, on budget and built right.


Position will be based in Central or NorthWest Ohio to manage our projects in that region.


Job Purpose:

The Electrical Installation Project Manager is responsible for ensuring the success of electrical installation projects which includes estimates, budgets, project management, coordination with NorthWind managers and coordination with existing and new clients.


Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plan & Execute- Coordinate manpower, equipment, and materials across multiple simultaneous projects to keep everything moving efficiently
  • Estimate & Budget- Calculate labor, materials, and time requirements to develop accurate project cost estimates
  • Own the Scope- Manage project objectives, timelines, and change orders while never compromising on quality workmanship
  • Manage Resources- Keep projects on budget and on schedule through smart resource allocation
  • Identify & Mitigate Risk- Spot potential problems before they become real ones and take decisive action
  • Champion Safety- Ensure job site safety compliance, verify installer certifications and PPE, and confirm OSHA requirements are met at every turn
  • Communicate Like a Pro- Keep management, clients, vendors, and crews aligned with clear, timely communication
  • Provide Technical Guidance- Support teams on project specs, electrical drawings, and NEC compliance
  • Coordinate Site Operations- Confirm site readiness before dispatching crews and approve site departure upon job completion
  • Grow the Business- Network to identify new project opportunities and collaborate with the sales team
  • Hit the Road - Travel to job sites as needed


Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

  • Knowledge in the installation of electrical panel boards, load centers, conduit, conductors, power transformers
  • Knowledge of safety procedures when working with electrical systems
  • Knowledge of tools, equipment and materials common to the trade
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Fluent use of MS Work, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Ability to use internal communication systems such as MS Teams and Outlook
  • Understanding of controls and blueprint reading


Required Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of electrical experience
  • 2+ years of experience managing projects
  • Valid Driver's License (CDL not required, but preferred)
  • Journeyman Electrician License

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master Electrician License highly preferred
  • Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
