Job description

ShelfGenie of Central & Coastal VA is seeking experienced 1099 Installation Contractors / Partners. Excellent opportunity for carpenters, kitchen/bath remodelers, and handymen looking for steady supplemental work.

This is a 1099 independent contractor role - run your own business, create your own schedule, and manage your own taxes, insurance, and licensing.

What we offer:

  • Initial training + ongoing support to meet ShelfGenie standards (including closets & Glide-Out shelving)
  • Strong earning potential (experienced installers typically earn $100-$200+/hr)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedule measurement and installation appointments
  • Measure spaces accurately and upload into our portal
  • Receive and inspect product shipments for quality assurance
  • Install Closets & Glide-Out shelving to the customer's satisfaction
  • Provide professional, friendly service to clients
  • Communicate job status with the ShelfGenie team
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment

Requirements:

  • Prior carpentry, handyman, or remodeling experience
  • VA Contractor License (Class C or higher preferred) + general liability insurance
  • Reliable transportation, tools, and ability to lift 50+ lbs
  • Professional, dependable, and customer-service focused
  • Smartphone and basic computer skills for portal, email, and scheduling
  • Clean background check and reliable professional references
