Job description

Description:

Area Installation Recruiting Specialist

Multi-State Territory | Up to 75% Travel | Exempt / Salaried

FLSA Status: Salaried, Exempt

Travel Requirement: Up to 75% — Multi-State Territory

Who We Are

Service Pros Installation Group is a large, multi-state flooring installation company exclusively serving Lowe's Home Improvement — one of the most recognized home improvement retailers in the country. We are the team behind the in-home flooring installation experience that Lowe's customers count on, and we take that responsibility seriously. With operations spanning multiple states and a growing network of skilled flooring installers, we are committed to operational excellence, superior customer satisfaction, and the development of the people who make it all happen.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a driven, relationship-focused Area Installation Recruiting Specialist to oversee flooring installer recruitment, training, and performance across a defined multi-state geographic territory. This is a high-impact, field-based role that sits at the intersection of talent acquisition, flooring operations, and sales enablement. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy being on the road, and have a passion for building high-performing installer networks, this role was designed for you.

This is not a desk job. You will be regularly engaging with Lowe's store teams — our exclusive retail partner — meeting with flooring installers in the field, conducting in-home measurements, and driving recruitment and retention strategies across your territory. Every decision you make directly supports the Lowe's flooring customer experience and the strength of our relationship with them.

What You Will Do

Talent Acquisition & Installer Recruitment

• Lead full-cycle recruitment of flooring Installers across your assigned multi-state territory.

• Analyze applicant and hiring manager survey data to continuously improve recruiting efficiency and quality of hire within the flooring installation marketplace.

• Negotiate installer cost structures that align with local flooring market rates and Service Pros' cost model.

• Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the flooring installation contractor marketplace — including competitor activity, installer availability, and regional pricing trends.

Onboarding, Training & Sales Enablement

• Design and deliver structured onboarding and training programs for newly contracted flooring installers, ensuring they are equipped to represent Service Pros and Lowe's with professionalism and skill.

• Provide sales training support to flooring installers, equipping them with the product knowledge and communication skills needed to strengthen customer relationships and drive satisfaction scores.

• Successfully complete in-home flooring measurement training and perform measurements as needed ($30.00 piece rate per measurement).

• Partner with the workroom team to develop and implement flooring installer retention and appreciation initiatives that reduce turnover and build long-term loyalty.

Relationship Management & Field Operations

• Conduct targeted store visits at Lowe's Home Improvement locations to evaluate and strengthen the installer/Lowe's relationship on behalf of the organization.

• Serve as the primary point of contact for installers within your territory, fostering trust and open communication across all levels of the field team.

• Utilize KPIs, data reporting, and performance metrics to monitor gross profit margins and customer experience benchmarks — taking proactive action when trends indicate a need.

• Ensure superior customer satisfaction scores are consistently achieved within your territory.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required; 3–5 years of related experience in talent acquisition, field operations, or customer service management preferred.

• Demonstrated ability to lead situationally — motivating and aligning people around organizational goals and shared expectations.

• Experience working in a large, multi-site or multi-state company environment with competing priorities and diverse stakeholder groups.

• Strong communication skills — both written and verbal — with the ability to connect effectively with entry-level installers, store managers, and senior leadership alike.

• Proficiency in database, spreadsheet, email, and word processing software; comfortable using reporting tools and data to drive decisions.

• Solid mathematical reasoning for cost modeling, pricing analysis, and performance metric evaluation.

• A valid driver's license and the ability to meet company driving and insurance coverage requirements.

• Comfort with and commitment to up to 75% travel across a multi-state territory – this is a road warrior role.

• Physical ability to lift and carry up to 65 lbs. and perform in-home measurements as needed.

Core Competencies

• Independent and self-directed — you own your territory and manage your time with purpose.

• Problem-solving mindset — you identify obstacles early and move quickly to resolve them.

• High follow-through — you track what you start and see it through to completion.

• Team-builder — you contribute positively to team culture and lift those around you.

• Ethical and professional — you treat every person with respect, integrity, and consistency.

• Quality-focused — you hold yourself to a high standard and monitor your own results without being asked.
