Job Title: Memorial Installer

Sunburst Memorials has been in business since 1917 and is a part of the Scipi Family of Companies. We believe that our values and conducting business the Scipi way has led us to growing our memorial business to over 20 retail stores and 150 dealers across the Midwest. Scipi is a 100% employee-owned organization based in Central MN, employing 250 team members across the Midwest and Canada.

This position will serve St. Cloud and the surrounding areas. St. Cloud, also known as the Granite City, is home to several parks and attractions highlighting our granite mining history. For example, Quarry Park and Nature Preserve is a 683 acre preserve with 20 former granite quarries and is a great place to swim, scuba, fish, climb, or admire.

Position Description:
As the Memorial Installer, you will handle the coordination, preparation, and installation of memorials and other monuments. This position plays a vital role in making sure that our customers receive exceptional customer service and that their monument is handled and installed with care. Our Memorial Installers are also responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with our community and business partners.

This position has a hourly wage range of $21 - $25 based on experience.
This position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
This position is for internal applicants only and will remain posted until end-of-day on Tuesday, June 2nd.
Essential Functions:
  • Memorial Installation Coordination amp; Preparation: organize daily route planning, coordinate with sales team and cemetery sextons for memorial installs, and prepare installation site by digging level foundation while safely operating company truck and crane
  • System Updates amp; Relationship Management: update system with completed installs regularly, respond to calls and emails promptly to maintain healthy relationships with sales staff, sextons, supervisors, and customers
  • Inventory Management amp; Delivery Assistance: maintain pre-cast inventory level to meet demand and assist with unloading memorials from delivery trucks
  • Truck Maintenance amp; DOT Inspections: regularly perform or schedule preventative maintenance and annual DOT inspections for company vehicle
  • Product Inspection amp; Off-Season Projects: inspect and repair products as needed, and assist with winter projects as directed

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of truck mounted crane operation and ability to read level and tape measure
  • Self-motivated with strong organization skills
  • Able to perform heavy lifting, pushing, and pulling
  • Able to kneel, bend, and stand for long periods of time
Required Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
  • DOT Health Card or ability to obtain prior to start date
Preferred Experience:
  • Previous memorial setting experience
