About HomeLyfe Roofing
At HomeLyfe Roofing, we believe a home is more than just a structure, it’s where life happens. We are a fast-growing, family-centered residential roofing company dedicated to protecting families and their most valuable investment. With a reputation built on craftsmanship, transparency, and genuine care for our customers, we have become a trusted name in our community. As we continue to expand, we are looking for a passionate sales leader to help us grow while staying true to our mission: We believe an educated homeowner is an empowered homeowner.

Position Summary
We are seeking a hands-on, results-driven Director of Sales to lead and scale our residential roofing sales division. This is a senior leadership role for a builder who can close sales, recruit, coach, and inspire a high-performing sales team while driving revenue growth and market expansion. You will own the entire sales function, from strategy and lead generation to closing and customer experience. If you are a leader who thrives on developing people, refining processes, and delivering measurable results, we want to meet you.

Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Revenue Growth
  • Set the Vision: Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve aggressive revenue targets across residential roofing.
  • Drive Growth: Partner with marketing and operations to optimize lead flow from digital, referrals, insurance claims, door-to-door, and community partnerships.
  • Own the Pipeline: Manage the entire sales cycle from lead generation to contract signing, ensuring disciplined forecasting and accurate reporting.
  • Maximize Margins: Collaborate with leadership to establish competitive pricing strategies that balance market competitiveness with profitability.
  • Stay Ahead: Monitor local market trends, competitor activity, and industry shifts to identify new opportunities and adjust strategies proactively.
Team Leadership & Development
  • Build the Team: Attract, recruit, and onboard top-tier sales talent—building a high-performance team of roofing consultants and sales managers.
  • Coach for Success: Conduct regular one-on-ones, field ride-alongs, and training sessions to develop selling skills, product knowledge, and consultative sales techniques.
  • Drive Accountability: Set clear KPIs, hold the team accountable to quotas, and deliver ongoing feedback through performance reviews and coaching.
  • Create Culture: Foster a competitive, positive, and collaborative sales culture rooted in integrity, customer-first service, and continuous improvement.
Operational Excellence
  • CRM Discipline: Ensure accurate and consistent use of our CRM (Housecall Pro) for lead tracking, pipeline visibility, and performance reporting.
  • Refine Processes: Continuously improve the sales process to shorten sales cycles, improve close rates, and enhance the homeowner experience.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with production, estimating, and customer service teams to ensure smooth handoffs and exceptional client experiences from sale to install.
  • Report Results: Provide regular sales dashboards and performance updates to executive leadership, highlighting wins, challenges, and growth opportunities.
Customer Experience & Brand Reputation
  • Build Relationships: Foster strong connections with homeowners, insurance adjusters, and referral partners to drive repeat business and word-of-mouth referrals.
  • Handle Escalations: Resolve escalated customer concerns professionally, ensuring satisfaction and protecting the HomeLyfe Roofing reputation.
  • Be the Face: Represent HomeLyfe at community events, home shows, and industry networking functions to strengthen brand presence and trust.
Qualifications
Required Experience
  • Experience: 5–10+ years of sales leadership experience in residential roofing, exterior home improvement, storm restoration, or a related construction industry.
  • Management: Minimum 3–5 years in a people-management role with a proven track record of building, coaching, and retaining high-performing sales teams.
  • Revenue Ownership: Proven experience leading teams that deliver $5M–$15M+ in annual residential revenue.
  • Field Experience: Hands-on experience in residential roofing sales, understanding insurance claims, supplement processes, and the homeowner buying journey.
Skills & Competencies
  • Leadership: Inspiring leader who motivates through accountability, recognition, and genuine care for team development.
  • Sales Acumen: Deep expertise in consultative selling, negotiation, and closing in a residential setting.
  • Data-Driven: Strong skills in pipeline management, forecasting, and using CRM analytics to drive decisions.
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication; able to connect with homeowners, adjusters, and internal teams.
  • Resilience: High energy, self-motivated, and comfortable in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
 Certifications & Logistics
  • Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation (required).
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed during peak storm seasons.
  • Familiarity with Xactimate, Symbility, or similar estimating software (preferred).
  • OSHA 10 or 30 Certification (preferred, or willingness to obtain).
